Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
When entering into a contract with LEARN SPANISH NOW S.A.S. for their services, it is important to note that the terms and conditions outlined in the contract are essential and binding for both parties involved, namely the student and Learn Spanish Now.
To ensure a complete understanding of these terms and conditions, it is highly recommended that they are read thoroughly before signing or agreeing to any services offered by LEARN SPANISH NOW S.A.S. Doing so will indicate your acknowledgment and acceptance of them.
2. Services
2.1 General
Our company, LEARN SPANISH NOW, specializes in offering Spanish courses through our online platform. Additionally, we provide private and group classes in person and online at various levels, including A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. Each level is further divided into four sublevels, namely A1.1, A1.2, A1.3, and A1.4.
Our curriculum is designed based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which helps us determine the appropriate level for each student.
We may make changes to our course content to ensure the improvement of our study plans, but we will always communicate these changes to our students. We guarantee compliance with the contracted hours and the quality parameters of the levels acquired.
Before enrolling in any of our services, students must take a placement test to determine their appropriate Spanish level. If a student feels that they have been placed in the wrong level, they can request a reclassification test by emailing admin@learnspanishnow.co, which can be followed by an interview with one of our teachers.
Our academy is intended for students over 18 years old, although some exceptions may be made for students between 15 and 17 years old, for whom their parents will be responsible for making the contract and accepting the terms and conditions.
Please note that we are a non-formal education academy and do not certify DELE or SIELE exams, although we do prepare students for these exams in other formal education academies. We also do not grant student visas.
At the end of each level or course, students can request a certificate of completion, which helps recognize their level of Spanish knowledge. However, this certificate does not accredit them before a formal education institution.
At Learn Spanish Now, we offer 7 different services to help you learn Spanish. These services include an online Spanish course, private or group online classes, private or group face-to-face classes, a Survival Spanish Course, and preparation for the DELE and SIELE exams.
You can see below the specific terms and conditions for the service you have opted to avail.
2.2 Online Course
Once the placement test is completed and the terms and conditions are accepted, the student will be enrolled in their corresponding course (A1.1, A1.2, etc.). The student will then be given a username and will be able to access the platform and its table of contents.
Since it is a guided course, the content of each lesson will be locked. As soon as a lesson and its respective exercises are completed, the next one will be unlocked automatically.
The student will have access to digital material such as videos, audio, images, texts, and exercises, which will be available for the duration of the contracted service. Once the time is up, the material will become blocked and the student will be unable to access it.
While students may use the material to practice outside of the course, it is not allowed for use in other Spanish academies, as it is the intellectual property of LEARN SPANISH NOW and its rights are reserved.
The course must be completed by the time agreed upon in the contract. If not, the student will need to pay again to access it.
There is no specific schedule for the course, and it can be completed from anywhere in the world at any time of day or night.
Each course is approximately 30 hours long, divided into lessons, audio, videos, exercises, homework, and a final evaluation. Each course has a 3-month expiration date and must be completed within that time frame. Otherwise, the student will need to repurchase it.
Each course includes 1 hour of live lessons with a native and professional teacher to complement the explanations and review activities. To schedule the lesson, the student must contact the email admin@learnspanishnow.co, and the lesson will be scheduled based on the availability of both parties.
Additionally, each course includes 2 hours of online conversation with a native teacher, during which students can practice and get help with any doubts. To schedule these lessons, the student must contact the email admin@learnspanishnow.co, and they will be scheduled based on the availability of both parties.
If students want more live lessons to continue practicing or to answer other questions, they can purchase them via email or WhatsApp at an additional cost.
Students must be punctual for the scheduled live and conversation lessons. If, for any reason, they cannot connect, they must notify the email admin@learnspanishnow.co. Otherwise, the teacher will only wait for 15 minutes, and the lesson cannot be rescheduled unless the student wishes to pay for an extra lesson.
Live conversation lessons will be conducted through platforms such as Google Meet, Skype, or Zoom.
To advance to the next lesson, students must complete all exercises in the course with a minimum pass rate of 50%. Although they can retake exercises as many times as they want, they will not be able to move on to the next lesson until they have completed them in their entirety.
Most exercises provide an automatic response and immediate feedback. However, some exercises require review and feedback from the teacher, which will be given within a week. Nonetheless, students will be able to continue advancing with other lessons in the course.
In order to pass the course, students must achieve a minimum of 60% correct on the final test. They will have two attempts to do so. If they do not pass the test on either attempt, they will need to contact the email admin@learnspanishnow.co to schedule a live lesson with the teacher to review any unclear issues. Each live lesson that the student must schedule will have an additional cost to the one contracted when the course was purchased.
After the live lesson, the teacher will determine whether the course is approved or if the student must retake the test.
Students who do not pass the course cannot advance to the next one.
Students will be able to participate in a forum with other students and teachers to share doubts, questions, and answers on a topic according to their level of Spanish.
The student is responsible for their internet connection, operating their computer, camera, microphone, and audio during the course.
Students will have the same teacher throughout the course unless there is an event of force majeure.
By accepting these terms and conditions, the student agrees to complete the course at the agreed-upon time to be able to advance to the next level.

The student must also provide their hourly availability. If the student cannot connect at the scheduled time, they must notify the teacher; otherwise, the teacher will only wait for 15 minutes, and the student will still be charged for the full hour.
Lessons will be scheduled according to the availability of both the student and the teacher. If the student wishes to change their lesson schedule, they may do so if the teacher accepts it and is available. If the student encounters any issues with lessons, schedules, cancellations, payments, etc., they should notify admin@learnspanishnow.co.
The student will have the same teacher throughout their lessons unless an issue arises or an event of force majeure occurs.
Lessons can be conducted privately or in groups of up to three students as long as the group consists of friends or relatives with the same Spanish level.
Lesson packages expire after three months and must be completed within this time. No refunds will be given for unused lessons or expired packages. If the student wishes to take a break, they must contact Learn Spanish Now administrative staff and their lesson package can be frozen for a maximum of three months. The student agrees to take lessons at the agreed-upon time by accepting these terms and conditions.

The teacher will provide digital materials like videos, audio, images, exercises, and texts during the lessons. However, these materials belong to LEARN SPANISH NOW and cannot be used outside of the academy.
Students can attend as many classes as they wish in a week, and all in-person classes must last at least 2 hours. Additionally, there is an option to take classes that are 3 or four 4 long. If a student books a class longer than 2 hours, there will be a pause of 15 minutes in between to allow both the teacher and the student to take a break, stretch, use the restroom if needed, or recharge before continuing the lesson.
To schedule lessons, the student must complete the registration process, which includes the placement test, agreeing to the terms and conditions, and paying for a 2-hour session or one of our packages of lessons. After completing the registration process, the student must also inform the academy of their availability for scheduling lessons.
The classes are held at a peaceful cafe in Medellín, Colombia. The student is required to order and consume at least one beverage during the session and will be responsible for covering its cost. The teacher will take care of her own drink.
If the student is running late, they must notify the teacher; otherwise, the teacher will wait for only 30 minutes, and the student will still need to pay for both hours. Lessons are scheduled based on the student and teacher’s availability, and the student can change the scheduled time as long as the teacher approves and is available.

By accepting these terms and conditions, the student agrees to attend lessons at the scheduled time.
